“Alienation or the desire for intimacy” is a contemporary and multi-media dance show. Swedish-Dutch choreographer Benno Voorham has created an assembly of several scenes that revolve around the 3 key words: alienation, desire and intimacy. It is a journey in motion, poetic, visual, in the subterranean of our desires, an intimate journey to what motivates us to be with ourselves or with others.

Let’s start with words. Not just any words, but those that, aroused by the act and artistic practice, break through hard-to-reach areas of the self. I erupt in words and dance, the body having the ability to show through movement what is beyond words. We overlay live and projected images, from angles otherwise invisible to the viewer, to support or contradict the body message.
