All in Good Time – An International Production by Echo Echo Dance & PETEC (Romania)
iulie 26 @ 8:00 am – iulie 27 @ 5:00 pm
Echo Echo Dance & PETEC (Romania) present an international co-production ‘All In Good Time’
Friday 26th & Saturday 27th July @ 7pm at Echo Echo Studios, Magazine Street, Derry
A calm, intimate, beautiful, warm-hearted and layered dance piece that goes back to the roots of dancing in the poetic sensibility in movement that we all share.
“What if we were to look at dance as closer to poetry rather than to visual arts or theatre?
Each movement – an opening of a world, a language with its own meanings?
Each pause – a careful anticipation, a space charged with significance?
Each performance – a complete work, equal unto itself, without the need to justify itself through the mediation of other arts?
What if dancers and choreographers were to work free from the influence of music and textual narratives, armed with the confidence that their artistic language is sufficient unto itself, accessible to the audience?
These perspectives have been explored by an international team of movement artists from Romania, the Republic of Moldova, and Northern Ireland in a project beginning in April 2024. Their research has culminated in the creation of ‘All In Good Time’ and its performances at Echo Echo Dance Theatre Company and The Flowerfield Arts Centre.
