Dance Like Everybody is Watching // Bucharest JAMs Nov-Dec 2019

In November and December 2019, the jam sessions we organize weekly will have a special program – with different dates, times and locations – because in the meantime we will organize an intensive course of Contact Improvisation and one of Axis Syllabus (more info down).

A jam session in dance is the same as a jam session in music. The dancers meet for improvisation, to inspire each other and to spontaneously create compositions in the form of solo, duet, trio or group.
… professionals and amateurs change experience.
… is an opportunity to remove the dance from the conventional framework and dance only for the sake of dance.
… and an opportunity to refresh our motivations and impulses to dance.
In jam sessions worldwide, Contact Improvisation enthusiasts and practitioners meet in the same space, but no one is required to dance Contact.
It is a free space, for movement experiments, in which the respect of the physical and emotional integrity of each participant is encouraged at the same time.
