Tey’re not all heroes (online @ Caleido Festival)

May 25, 2021 @ 8:30 pm 9:30 pm

The show is articulated on an area of tension and dialogue with the missing grandparents in which the most personal interpretations intersect with striking images from the collective unconscious. It is the area where we find our own answers related to the fight for freedom of expression and resistance in contexts of censorship and political terror, still very present in other forms and in contemporaneity.

Beyond telling the stories of our grandparents with their heroic and banal aspects, stories about struggle and survival, “Not everyone is a hero” is about a process of integrating a past, a process that takes place in front of the public. We work with the idea of personal integration that challenges the public to question their own “roots”, their own stability and emotional nourishment.

In the construction of the show we worked with the diversity of means, from movement, text and their interaction, working with puppets and objects in such a way that with each new moment of the play an independent image is created and it is very difficult to frame. a single discipline. Seen as a whole, it creates the feeling of a kaleidoscope that takes you through a multitude of states and opens new perspectives.
