Common Space for Practice and Research // through movement and dance
December 6 @ 9:00 pm – December 14 @ 7:00 pm
What do independent dancers do outside of rehearsals for shows? How often and in what way do they do their physical training? Where does his vocabulary of movement inspire? Does each one have its own private space and do research alone? What would it be like to have a common space of meetings, movement and exchange of ideas to inspire each other?
PETEC invites professional dancers to join a common space of practice and research through movement and dance. By the term professionals we mean people who work in the field of performing arts but also people who regularly practice – for at least 3 years – a certain form of movement or dance. The invitation is open to musicians, painters, directors, actors who work with the movement and the body and would like to deepen this field.
The intention of the project is to make room for new possibilities for collaboration, practice, development, debate and generation of ideas between professionals in the performing arts field.
>> First meetings:
Friday, December 6 21: 00-23: 00
Saturday, December 14 19: 00-21: 00
The other meetings will be announced at the beginning of January 2020.
>> How do I join?
1. Sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with a small biography – for professionals with whom we have not had the opportunity to collaborate so far. And for collaborating artists – an email announcing the day they want to participate.
2. Contributing between 5 and 10 lei / meeting for the payment of the room depending on the number of participants (min 6 / max 12).
>> How do we organize?
We propose 2 possibilities that should not be excluded:
1. Organizing on the spot – following the others, asking, proposing.
2. Laboratory announced in advance – on certain topics, questions, directions of work.
>> General notes:
In space, several constellations of work but also individual work can coexist.
We propose to use the 2 hours strictly for movement and / or discussions about movement and dance (+ music and other artistic media, depending on the participants). For socializing we can go out after a tea.
// We expect any other questions, ideas and proposals related to this initiative at email@example.com
