După încheierea Festivalului de performance de cameră din luna iunie, Instituția performance-ului vine cu o ultimă propunere înaintea vacanței de vară: o colaborare dintre Siegmar Zacharias (RO/Berlin) și Adriana Gheorghe (RO) sub forma unui atelier intensiv de performance de 7 zile cu o ultimă zi deschisă publicului.

Cum putem să învățăm unii de la alții, de la material, din practicile împărtășite de a ne oferi lucrările și corpurile drept cutii de rezonanță pentru ceilalți? Cum putem să construim colectiv instrumente pentru transformare socială? Adu o practică pe care vrei s-o împărtășești, începutul a ceva, un sfârșit, o propunere care te atrage și haideți să ne ascultăm unii pe alții, exersându-ne răspuns-abilitatea.

Drept critică implicită a lipsei unei asemenea instituții și pledoarie pentru forța performance-ului de a institui structurile de care avem nevoie, Instituția performance-ului este un gest de fond care transformă toți participanții în protagoniști, păstrând ceva din mișcarea de maree a unui fel de a fi împreună nedelimitat prin mijloace exterioare, respectând nevoile individuale de diferență, dissensus și reformulare continuă. Textura sa este acustică și reflexivă.

𝗦𝗶𝗲𝗴𝗺𝗮𝗿 𝗭𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘀 este artistă (performance), cercetătoare și curatoare. Explorează politicile alienării și intimității prin practici de a gândi și a fi cu materia și materii în colaborare cu oameni și non-oameni. Predă internațional și este adesea invitată ca lector la DOCH Stockholm, HZT Berlin și Bard College Berlin. Din 1993, lucrează la strategii nonviolente de comunicare alături de reprezentanți din grupuri de muncitori. A obținut titlul de doctor cu o teză intitulată „EROTICS OF GRIEVES. Somacoustic listening towards visceral accountability”, din partea Universității Roehampton, cu o bursă AHRC TECHNE.

𝗔𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗚𝗵𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗵𝗲 lucrează la marginea performance-ului, poeziei, teoriei grave și pedagogiei speculative. Din interiorul practicii artistice, curatoriază procese și constelații, căutând noi moduri de transmisie și co-existență (Durational Life Theory, Imagine Human, Teatre, Sublunar și Instituția performance-ului). A colaborat cu CESI, cu galerii, CNDB etc. și cu Punch la cartea sa de artist -„False Hours”.

Instituția performance-ului (iunie–octombrie) este un program curatoriat de artista Adriana Gheorghe, produs de Teatre în colaborare cu PETEC și co-finanțat de AFCN. Proiectul nu reprezintă în mod necesar poziţia Administrației Fondului Cultural Național. AFCN nu este responsabilă de conținutul proiectului sau de modul în care rezultatele proiectului pot fi folosite. Acestea sunt în întregime responsabilitatea beneficiarului finanțării.

After the Chamber Performance Festival (June) and before the summer holiday, The Institution of Performance offers one more proposal- the collaboration between Siegmar Zacharias (RO/Berlin) and Adriana Gheorghe (RO) in the form of a 7-day intensive performance workshop, 3 days per week/2 weeks, and the last one open to the public.

How can we learn from each other, from material, from shared practices about offering our bodies of work and bodies of flesh as resonant spaces for others? How can we collectively build a toolkit for social transformation? Bring a practice you want to share, a beginning of something, an end, a proposal that calls for you, and let’s listen to each other, rehearsing shared response-ability.

As an implicit critique of the lack of such an institution and a plea in favor of the power of performance to institute the structures we need, The Institution of Performance is a background gesture that turns all participants into protagonists, while preserving something of the tidal movement of a way of being together unprescribed from outside, respecting the individual need for difference, dissensus, and continuous rearticulation. Its texture is acoustic, aural and reflexive.

𝗦𝗶𝗲𝗴𝗺𝗮𝗿 𝗭𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘀 is a performance maker, researcher, curator. She explores the politics of alienation and intimacy in embodied thinking/being with matter and matters in collaborations with humans and non-humans. She teaches internationally and is a regular guest lecturer at DOCH Stockholm, HZT Berlin, Bard College Berlin. Since 1993 she has been working on non-violent communication strategies with workers’ representatives. She has a Phd on ”EROTICS OF GRIEVES. Somacoustic listening towards visceral accountability” from Roehampton University on a AHRC TECHNE scholarship.

𝗔𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗚𝗵𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗵𝗲 works with performance, poetry, grave theory and speculative pedagogy, at their margin. From within the artistic practice she curates processes and constellations researching new modes of transmission and co-existence (Durational Life Theory, Imagine Human, Teatre/Theatres, Sublunar and The Institution of Performance). Collaborated with CESI, theatres, galleries and Punch for the ”False Hours” artist book.

The Institution of Performance (June-October) is a program curated by artist Adriana Gheorghe, produced by Teatre/Theatres in collaboration with PETEC and co-financed by AFCN.
