Performance program, every Thursday and Saturday evening, 7:00 PM

The Performance Institution, project, concept and platform, began in June and can only end with a promise of continuous rehearsal and practice – Rehearsal for a Performance Institution, for a month.

The need to practice alternative structures, beyond the logic of competition and the market, is more urgent than ever.
October begins with a final workshop and an intensive performance presentation program bringing together, every Thursday and Saturday evening, from 7:00 PM, the works created in the Teatre residency, plus guest artists, local and international.

What performances emerge in the world after a program made up of more than half of workshops and processes, a maximum dissemination of a type of choreographic and performative knowledge that associates voice, speech and thought with touch and that can rest us, conceptually and physically, from many of the social or inner conditionings, a rest within artistic practice, ultimately as an act of dissidence and the exercise of hope?

Between October 1 and 3, Alix Eynaudi invites to a final workshop in the program, Ungathered, a final cry for gathering and non-gathering of temporary societies, to rest through movement and reading as such a political act of dissidence.

The whole world is so tired.

Sometimes rest comes from pause or slowing down, sometimes from tuning in to the choirs and movement around us.

The project represents both a critique of the lack of such institutional commitment and a plea for the performance environment to “institute” the necessary interaction structures by practicing understanding the inevitable conditionings (in this case – precariousness and inconsistency) and reimagining and transforming them through speculative frameworks and through alliances with existing institutions that allow themselves to be permeated, such as theaters (Masca Theater), galleries (Suprainfinit, SAC Malmaison, Goethe Pavilion), Casa Tranzit in Cluj, etc. and the city.

The institution of performance is that backdrop that transforms all of us participants into protagonists, while at the same time preserving something of the tidal movement of a way of being together unbounded by external labels of group or collective type, respecting individual needs for difference and continuous reformulation.

And it keeps the association with anatomical theater as an illusion, as a zero degree of performativity: the architectural figuration of the apparatus of perception and reception and a place of worship for the religion of attention, where the human understands the possibility of participating in its own formulation, through the double movement interior-exterior, proximity and distance, to experience and reflect/look at alike.

The whole world is so tired.
