Event hosted by PETEC
Timisoara
Duration: 3 days
Public
We invite you to join an artist walk through Timișoara, guided by Florin Flueras and Smaranda Găbudeanu – a walk in which the city becomes a place of study for the gestures of a hypersensitive body, in a suspended time.
The Botanical Park, the Calea Buziașului Industrial Zone or the IC Brătianu Park function as starting points for performative interventions in continuous transformation. The routes are not fixed, but fluid: they can be extended, deviated or compressed depending on the real interests, states and reactions of the participants.
The body of the audience thus becomes an instrument of affective mapping, which reconfigures the limits and meanings of the spaces crossed. Each group involved will activate a unique, decentralized performative perimeter, which can become a central point of interest – both individually (for the participant) and collectively (for the group) – depending on the dynamics of the relationship between the city, the artist and the inhabitant.
Participation is free and will be done either in a one-to-one format or in small groups. We will announce the registration form soon.

Within the artist walks guided by Florin Flueras, the public is invited to participate in a performative experience inspired by his practice Love Nature – an extension of the work Love, which activates a state of bodily and affective hypersensitivity in relation to urban nature. Instead of a conventional guided route, these walks propose a sensory reconnection with plants, insects, smells, the fluidity of the soil and the hidden layers of the city – not to analyze or consume them, but to resonate with them.
Smaranda Găbudeanu will propose playful gestures that appear out of nowhere, a performativity that comes to the surface thanks to the time you have to react to useless and hitherto neglected stimuli. Performance as a way to kill time, in a deserted city and an endless day, season, life.
