A performative experience of hypersensitivity, in the middle of the city.
During the artist walks guided by Florin Flueraș, the public is invited to participate in a performative experience starting from his practice Love Nature – an extension of the work Love, which activates a state of bodily and affective hypersensitivity starting from the relationship with urban nature. This sensitization produces deviations from the states, presences and behaviors normalized in an urban environment.
Flueraș proposes an affective body, a "love body" that in a city shaped by control, functionality and efficiency can appear as a poetic gesture of deviation from the instrumentalization of the urban environment, introducing an ecology of presence, in which affect becomes a form of knowledge, and performativity, a way of expanding everyday reality. The public is thus invited to (re)feel the city as an extension of the sensitized body – not as an infrastructure to be crossed.
Florin Flueraș, Love Nature
"My Unmapping practice will consist of inserting hypersensitive bodies, charged with "love" into public space. Love explores practices of incorporating love – hypersensitivity, ecstatic affects, subtle affective connections with the things around us, starting from the Love Body (Second Body) practice of adding an affective sensitivity to everyday behaviors, a second attention that can take us out of the anatomical body towards a "love body". Love bodies are inserted into "inappropriate" contexts where something else is already happening – public spaces and institutions. Their sensitivity produces a contrast that can performatively interfere with the normality of those contexts, temporary zones of possibility can appear. Because the effects are contagious, the entire atmosphere and situation can be influenced. The artworks are usually visual, sound or conceptual. Love is affect based."
An ecological, affective, subtle performance – about how we feel the city together.
