“More Reasons to Dance” – dance & poetic movement workshops and the All in Good Time performance, in November in Timișoara
The Association for Theatre and Books (PETEC) brought the project More Reasons to Dance?to Timișoara, which included two dance workshops, Contact Improvisationand Poetic Movement, open to the general public. The workshops took place on November 6 and 10 at FITT, Sala Rotunda (Casa Tineretului, str. Aries no. 19). “Deal. Reconstitution”—collective performance and opening November 3, Izvor Park and MNAC
On November 3, from 3:00 p.m., the Bucharest public is invited to Izvor Park to transport, in a collective performance, fragments representing a reconstruction of Arsenal Hill (also known as Uranus), from Izvor Bridge to the National Museum of Contemporary Art (MNAC). Both the construction and the collective walk of these fragments are intended to be symbolic actions “in reverse” the cutting down of the hill in the 1980s, as well as a reference to the absurdity of moving churches during that period. Moving forward? – intention released into movement.
What if we could conceive of dance without the support of music or words, if we could feel and define it as a self-contained expression, a unique language, self-sufficient and at the same time accessible to the viewing public? The ‘Past Present’ project awarded at the 2023 AFCN Gala and winner of new funding for 2024
