The surviving poet of the communist prisons, Demostene Andronescu, participates. At the age of 94, Demostene Andronescu ended up behind bars as a student.
He was imprisoned for 12 years in Jilava, Gherla and Aiud. Demostene Andronescu did not give in to re-education in Aiud. He wrote over 200 poems in prison and managed to remember almost half of them and publish them many years later. He continued to be harassed by security even after his release, but he has no regrets: “I think that if I had to take it from the beginning, the prison would be beneficial for me.” (source: https: //m.digi24.ro /…/ povestea-ultimului-poet-in-viata …)
